The time had come for me to accept the fact that my business income was not going to turn around. This economy hit anyone in the real estate industry extra hard. I had said I would wait it out but I no longer see a light at the end of the tunnel and one can only go on with a negative net income for so long. It was time to move on. I had been reading up on different careers and found out that an esthetician salary is quite competitive. This was a drastic change from what I had been doing the last ten years but that was fine. With this type of work I would be dealing directly with people, which is something I wanted to continue to do. I had no interest in a desk job as it seems so isolating. So I researched programs in my area and enrolled in classes for the next semester. The great surprise was I already received several job offers before I even began my studies. This field has more jobs than they can fill with new jobs being created every day. I this bad economy, this is where I want to be.
